If you've been enjoying our coffee from the Takeaway Hatch, you'll know this is the good stuff! We believe investing in specialty beans is a no brainer: the flavour and health benefits far outweigh any lesser quality bean. Producing a specialty bean involves skill and time from coffee bean farmers, and by using these beans, we give due value to their time and efforts. With more attention on the quality of the bean and the growing and harvesting of it, the result is a superior flavour that has empowerment of each link in the chain supporting it - the farmer, the buyer, the roaster, the barista. You are absolutely worth it :-)
Now you can enjoy this from the comfort of your own home. Click into each blend for flavour notes.
Note that our decaf beans use a natural, mountain water washed process which does not use any nasty chemicals but which preserves all the flavour of the bean. This process involves soaking the harvested bean and using a process of osmosis to naturally remove caffeine from the bean. This requires a lot more labour and attention than a chemical process and is therefore a more expensive process, but it is better for the bean and the environment, and by extension the bean famers. And of course, it is a better product for you with all the flavour you expect from specialty beans.
